About La Nova

La Nova was born in 1957 when Joe Todaro (Papa Joe) started La Nova Pizzeria on 43 South Niagara Street in the City of Tonawanda. Joe worked 7 days a week with his son, Joe (Big Joe), who was 12 years old.

Big Joe and his father introduced Buffalo favorites such as the White Pizza, Steak and Cheese subs and La Nova's World Famous Barbeque Wings; an absolute favorite in the Queen City.

When there is an influx of Ex-Buffalonians returning home for the holidays, people just have to have their La Nova.

In 1994, Joey III (LJ) started La Nova Wings Inc. that’s sold Billions of Wings worldwide.

SO impressed with this place! We came for the pizza, as it was highlighted as a top 2 pizza place in Buffalo on a website. A super nice staff member greeted us and showed us the menu, and recommended the wings. So, we ordered BBQ wings + bleu cheese sauce with our pizza and are SO glad we tried them!! I normally dislike wings, but these were AMAZING!! The BBQ sauce was a perfect mix of sweet and spicy and the wings were both perfectly crispy yet juicy and tender. We also tried the loganberry drink at the staff member’s request and loved that too. Do yourself a favor and eat some wings here…EVEN if you normally don’t like wings. Y’all should build a franchise in DFW, TX; be closer to us!!

Was in town bringing my mother home from the hospital and after a hour & a half drive we need some food. Whenever I am in town I just have to stop & get some la novas!! I wish there was one in Rochester ny! They make pizza & delicious food like no other! Hits the spot every time!

Not sure what happened flavor was there but quality of food TERRIBLE I grew up on 14th street ate there every week spent $85 dollars for a large pizza n 20 wings... pizza good wings had flavor but burnt to a crisp... guess I finally gotta do like the tourist n head to the suburbs for Duffs or Barbills... DAMN... sad day to admit

The people were very nice. The manager was also quick to help his employees. Exceptional in my eye. 25 years of fast food management. I appreciate those managers. Fast and so quick. They have really great pizza. Actually drove there specifically headed home to Texas. It was worth it.

This place has the best bbq wings! They are smoked and has a good flavor to the sauce. Their buffalo wings are just okay. Wouldn’t recommend them. The pizza has sesame seed crust, which is so so good. They sell pizza by the slice and heat it to order. Service was super friendly and very fast. Highly recommend the pizza and the bbq wings!
